This sucks with March Madness coming up. Not sure what other options I have as there is no over the air CBS stations that I pick up.

Just raise prices and drop a major NW. Surely it’s just a short term negotiation problem.

I will be floored if this sticks for long. CBS is too significant of a network for them to just not carry. Not just for local/national news but you’re talking NFL, March Madness, and Big 10 football. Sports are one of the only things in TV that reliably draw viewers anymore.

I just don’t see a scenario where this isn’t resolved before March Madness.

You'd think not. I assume YoutubeTV is where price insensitive consumers are now and YoutubeTV will lose fewer viewers than other streaming packages would for raising prices but would get hammered for going into March Madness without basketball.

But at some point you'd think somebody would figure out they can just set up two services that are exactly the same except one pays for channels with live sports and one does not, and you'd find out exactly how much people are willing to pay for sports.

I just cut the chord and went to Yoube TV, just over 2 weeks ago. How about this for a Howdy Do?
I was wondering if this was a normal occurrence.
Email I got, said they could cut as many 20 channels, I had already hid several channels, but 15 or so could be cut for me.
I guess you jump in the water, and take your chances.

There was an email from YouTube TV last night that promised an $8 credit if no deal was reached, which not coincidentally is the price of a Paramount+ subscription.

It’s a dispute and they will come to an agreement soon. YT TV can’t afford to lose that many channels.

I just switched from Hulu live a couple months back, so in my 2 months they've raised prices and now lost CBS. Great.....

How did you like Hulu Live, just curious? We are paying for YouTube TV and also the Hulu/Disney/ESPN+ bundle. I could save 20ish bucks a month on it all if I switched to Hulu but wasn’t sure if it sucked.

Not sure this is going to work out as well for YT TV as compared to say directv back in the day. I’m not in a contract with you tube. I can cancel it tomorrow and get something else. YouTube better be careful acting like a cable company

Hulu wasn't great and it wasn't awful. Worked fine but I wanted the Quad Box and the ability to flip back and forth between games which is better on YouTube TV. YouTube TV is just more user friendly. Same thing with being able to rearrange the channels the way you want. It's little things that add up. That said, I'll be switching back if CBS isn't available once March hits.

This is why I went with YTTV.

I fully agree that YTTV is very user friendly. The price hikes add up though. It was $35 a month when I got it in 2019/2020 and now it’s almost triple the price in five years. That’s a heck of a markup for something that really only gets used half the year in my house. My wife never even looks at it, everything she wants to watch is on the usual streaming options.

Move channels on YTTB (I'm a rookie), Go to your YTTV account, not on your tv, I think settings, and then( live) guide,
channels open up, and you can hide channels , and or Click and drag.

Do this, on phone, or computer, Ipad, etc.

Ohhhs no, what would I ever do w/out my MTV, BET, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, and TV Land from Paramount**????

Just coincidentally I re-mounted an old antenna in Starkville last Saturday so all major networks are set. It's surprising I think I got 21 channels total w/ just an antenna mounted about 10' above ground on an old satellite dish "J" pole. Thought that was pretty good for Starkville. Used the old satellite wiring too that was already in place to get the signal to the 3 tv's I hooked up.

I had Hulu LIVE for awhile as well. It was fine, nothing flashy, but it was adequate. It was a good bit cheaper at that time from what I remember too. I got it on a Free Trial and kept it through football and the holidays and then turned it off and just kept the regular Hulu streaming channel.

I watched a YouTube video this morning that said Sundays Super Bowl will probably be the last one available for free over networks, it will start streaming. I can't really see that happening but I guess if they want to just give it to ESPN at some point it could.
NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX (in that order) have broadcast rights through 2034, not sure how they can not broadcast them unless they put them on a subsidiary channel that isn't free and not sure they would want to limit the audience that way either.

You must have watched the clip of Bill Mahers New Rules. He was griping about streaming services which I tend to agree with and then made that claim which is pretty dumb.

Surprising since they just increased pricing $10/month. Hopefully they work it out. I like You Tube TV.

I have that bundle and enjoy it. I would like to have the 4 split screen. Also wish there was a last channel or favorite function.

It’s still fairly quick to swap between channels. I scout ahead and click on the channels of the games I’ll be swapping between. Then I use the recent menu to flip between games.

Happens all the time and they'll work it out. If you're having a panic attack buy a $20 HD antenna and sleep well

You're right, I couldn't remember which one it was. I kind of doubt it for now but who knows, media changes fast nowadays

This is one of the reasons I’m still a dinosaur and have Spectrum as my main cable TV provider but the wifey still wants Netflix, and Amazon Prime which does include Paramount which I will admit I like those as well.
I know I’m paying too much but I don’t have to worry about s$|+ like this!

Amazon prime doesn’t include paramount plus, Walmart plus subscription does.

You'll be shocked how CLEAR free CBS comes in on a cheap HD antenna. Not gonna lie, it doesn't cost a dime

With todays TV signals, it depends on how far your are from the tower, And how much obstruction that is in the way,.
I have friends in Tupelo that can not get the signals,.... And, I'm 42 miles to the same towers, and because of obstruction,
I 'can't get a signal. Those towers are not far South of Houston.
So, that won't work for everybody.
The signal was much stronger, than now.
