I have HULU and it did the same thing after a few months.
I have to agree with you I have had all the streaming services since getting rid of Dish a few years ago and I have YouTube TV. That's just it really doesn't matter who you switch too they all raise the price all the time.

All you need is an email and a credit card. From what I can tell it doesn't do an IP check when granting the trial. Gmail accounts are free
Yep. Heard about this feller that has been doing it since the MLB playoffs and no charges to his card yet.
I got YouTubeTV about 6-7 years ago. Since then it's gone from I think $65 to the soon $83. That is nearly a 30% increase, or about 4-5% per yr. I suppose in-line with inflation (especially considering the inflation for past 2-3 years, maybe even less than).
Their greed is insatiable. They not only raise prices, but they increase advertisements. Ads in game, ads on uniforms, floors, walls, quick "breaks" if someone is mildly injured, and the ever painful TV timeouts every 4 minutes even if there was a time out seconds ago.
It's really the channels the companies that own them that are greedy and that causes YTTV and the others to raise prices.
I had YouTubeTV and started a free trial of Hulu last night. One thing I can tell I DO NOT like is I tend to pause tons of shows, even basketball games, then come back and fast forward through commercials to catch up. Hulu does not allow that. You have to watch the ads even if you are behind.
I’ve used Sling Orange for years and it works okay. A little buggy occasionally but generally works. It’s a little annoying that the DVR features don’t work with ESPN but I’m guessing that’s a contractual thing and is probably the same for every service, except maybe Dish which has a hardware DVR.
The reason people are paying more is that they are too lazy to manage the subscriptions to keep their bills low. And they don't realize they are getting scammed by bundles.
The regular YouTube has two Streams of each game free, one asks for Paypal donations the other one is the best and they don't ask for anything
They exist for now, but could get shut down at anytime. I was watching the Ohio St v Indiana football game this year because the local station decided to show girls basketball scrimmages instead and the stream got shut down for violations during the third quarter.

True. We looked into YTTV but when we checked it out, it didn't include the History channel and the Discovery channel families in our area. That was a no go for us.
I will add that DirectTV and some other streaming services allow multiple viewers. DTV allows up to 3 simultaneous connections, so my son who lives 140 miles away gets DTV for “free” since I share my login credentials with him. I get Disney (ESPN+) and Paramount Plus and Netflix services from my dsughter’s subscriptions. So, in the end, it’s not overly expensive to me to get all these. It’s a lot more TV than I have time for. As long as I can record sports from DTV and watch later (and fast-forward thru the commercials), I’m happy.
Check out Catchontv.com. 80 dollars for 3 devices for a year. Get all the sports channels and you get the espn app channels included, PPV included, NBA, NFL, MLB included.
You just can't use the DVR for SOME of the ESPN channels like the SEC. But you can for a lot of the ESPN channels. Plus, any game that's on an ESPN channel can usually be watched later from WatchESPN or ESPN3 for free if you have a login.
I think it's only a matter of time before any of them get shut down. I don't want to take the chance of having that happen right in the middle of a big game or just not be available at game time.
You may need to double check you really do have all the UK games with that bundle. I'm pretty sure you don't.
