ESPN Unlimited for YTTV

Will be interesting to see how long it STAYS free, or, gets disguised as a regular rate increase about 3 months later
They are saying it won’t happen until the end of 2026, potentially. So it will actually be “free” after whatever rate increases YTTV bakes in to cover the new ESPN deal start to take effect over the next 12 months.

Nothing is ever free. It’s comical that anyone would believe otherwise.

I've got the stand alone Unlimited now for football but plan to punt it in couple weeks after football is over.

That ESPN+ part is a pretty big deal, though, if you have any interest in watching State baseball, basketball, or virtually any other sport. Also, I think this gives subscribers access to WWE and UFC fights
I watched every baseball game we played minus the early season tournaments for the last 3 or 4 years with YTTV and SEC+ and a 7.99 ESPN+ (only had to use it a couple times). Don't see a big issue here.

Not even sure the $7.99 deal has been necessary for me, I've been able to get all of the SEC Based games I've wanted to watch, and I think we could also get the ACC stuff.... On ESPN+, if it has SECNW by it, it's ago.

It's a big deal if ESPN Unlimited is available on the YTTV platform. Much easier to navigate then the ESPN app and a game changer if it is integrated into the YTTV multiview and if its recordable.

ESPN+ was not needed to watch our baseball games on SEC+, that came with standard YTTV subscription

This was the biggest news to me. I can go without having access to ESPN+, but having access to all ESPN inventory in YTTV without having to switch between apps, yes please

ESPN had to negotiate the YTTV ad space they had open so that ESPN gets all of that ad space to sell.

I would also bet there is already a fee schedule agreed to in the agreement that puts a guaranteed YTTV price hike in the near future.

You're right. We've been subscribed to ESPN+ for so long that I just assumed that all the + games were a part of the subscription, but the SEC+ games come with your YTTV plan as you said.

I guess I'm happy either way because it would allow me to cancel our additional ESPN+ plan that we have, but the real win would be if we're able to now access ESPN+ content directly through YTTV's interface rather than the stupid ESPN app. I don't mind it on my phone, but the app on my TV is really frustrating to have to use.
