I haven't researched this in a while. So the new ESPN subscription carries all games on ESPN affiliates? At one time I thought that you still had to have a streaming subscription to log in through the ESPN Watch app and ESPN+ was just the extra games not on streaming services
It carries ALL games, ESPN affiliates AND ESPN+. It also has multiview where you can watch up to 4 at once on split screen. Think of it as an all access pass. This is their bundle without having to have a streaming/cable provider. To the other poster bitching about the Hulu Disney content. This is a year long bundle at the same price. But this package is never going to be cheaper than 29.99.

For $10 more you can also bundle with Fox One to get the Fox and Big Ten content.

Has anyone looked at the super box. A co worker was telling my wife about it the other day. It seems too good to be true but crazy to me it is being sold at retail stores

Yes - 100% of all games on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN NEWS, SEC Network, ACC Network and ESPN+ as well

$83 a month for 12 months is $1000 a year. I do not watch enough TV to justify even half of that

I was shocked how good some of those are - I was expecting it to be some slapdick in the upper deck with a live stream fading in and out.
There are usually 2-5 easily findable any given game. This season I've had only one drop in the middle of the game and one more had some stupid overlay come up that wouldn't go away, so I switched streams. I just hope they don't get shut down anytime soon.

It's a long way from the JustinTV days.

I’d never heard of it, but there are people on Reddit who swear it works. Others are very concerned about privacy with it because you’re opening your network up to who-knows-what.

I’m old but I miss turning the tv on and SOMETHING coming on the screen to watch. Now I get a menu that takes you to another menu that takes you to a log in page that takes you to another menu. I thought technology was supposed to make life simpler.
Most smart TVs have a setting to bypass the Home menu and go directly to the last source watched, when you turn on the TV. I have all of ours set this way

Does anyone use Starlink for whole home internet service? If so, how does she do?
Use it at my camp. It's very fast and doesn't go out with bad weather because the satellites are in low earth orbit. Works fantastic and very easy to setup. Order a mount from amazon and it fits the dish perfectly. It works right out of the box. Install the app on your phone, connect to the wifi on it on your phone, open the app and it'll tell you which way to point it, and bam. You have internet. No login. No further account setup (you do that when you order the equipment). You can take it down and use it for a tailgate, too. We do that

Make no mistake….they are both bait and switch. The first one is just going to increase more in price than the other.
Correct. Slowly over years vs jarring on the 13th month.

Having worked some with the content companies and companies that buy up the local affiliates, I can say they are in fact some of the greediest bastards I've ever had the displeasure of working with. It's not what the market can bear, it's forcing feeding the market to bear more. Which is why on principle I'm out. I can easily afford the $80/month for the convenience, but in principal... 17 em.

We ditched YTTV about a year ago and went with an Android box. Every freaking channel out there and no fees. One of my friends watches pay per view fights all the time on his.
