Hell Duke may be a better basketball team without Zion.
Assuming they replace him with a glue guy like Darius Miller who is willing to defer to Rj and Reddish...
Is this real or "The Harrisons and Randle hate each other" type stuff?
Why wouldn't he? Cal is recruiting 4 point guards, so why not 3 three's. I have no problem in this day of "positionless" basketball.
It did take several years...If Cal can decimate Louisville like he did this operation is child's play... LOL
Cal clearly prefers multiple PG's or combo guards and an elite guy inside. Cal wouldn't hesitate to play Hagan's, Maxey, and Quickly together on the floor. They're all 6'4 can handle the ball, pass, defend, and score in different ways. He wouldn't do that with any other position. Like I said, I don't believe he would sign 3 SF's in any class primarily because it would hamper his ability to sign multiple guards and a couple of bigs. He likes bringing in a class that is balanced.
It mean’s now that they’re at Duke, they go both way’s now. What are the fist together thumbs out things?
Read somewhere Montgomery didn’t exactly want to play with those Duke recruits. Something at McDonald’s game. Wasn’t any details .....sorry
He did commit to UK shortly afterward
Dude, Zion is a beast. I understand chemistry, but with a guy like that you never assume he's going to make a team worse.
I , too, want to believe it. But ya know.....
I am not discounting Zion’s ability. He is simply the one in the discussion.
One of the 3 will have to defer more often than not imo.
And someone other than the 5 man is going to have to be willing to do the dirty work and garbage game.
I just don’t see 3 alphas putting it all together.
Even in the NBA the big 3s are never 3 alphas. 2 for sure.
Maybe GS Warriors with Durant, but one is a PG and not 90% in score mode.
Miami with Lebron saw Bosh and Ray defer a bit to Wade and James.
Jordan and Scotty.
The 80’s Lakers? Again Magic was a PG...
80’s Celtics? However all 5 were willing and able passers.
I simply do not see Zion on the block, which most likely pushes Reddish to the corner...
It will be interesting to see how K works this on offense.
Defensively this Duke squad may be extremely vulnerable.
Can't wait to see how k plays Zion like lebron. If he handles the ball like he did when schooled at the mcds game he better forget about playing like lebron it won't happen anyway. He will make Zion camp out under the basket unless in transition because bolden won't exactly set the world on fire down low and will needn't all the help he can get. Barrett and reddish will be parked at the 3 pt line hoping a rebound comes back to them so they can jack up more shots. You can tell Barrett will be Tatum but much better when he gets the ball it won't be passed to anyone else. The only way someone gets a chance is on a missed shot
I will agree on Reddish. He just seems to play with a very low motor. He is very skilled, though.I think if any of them are overrated and don't contribute much, it will be Reddish. I don't agree with some in the thread. He might be the nicer of the bunch but he's the weakest link of the three imo.
I get what you're saying and I hope you're right.
I think Cal coaching that group would be much better for everyone involved. And I mean that, the players are included. Zion made a really poor decision but I guess they think NIKE will reward them in some way so, maybe not. That class was not about basketball. That's why I now prefer the OAD to end.
That would be the best thing that could happen for Duke, BUT, i want him to stay at Duke. Think there are problems now, just wait till the season starts.A last minute Zion flip to Clemson would be hilarious.

ZION'S REVENGE......has a nice ring to it.Dang! Zion is thick! What if this is all pre-planned by Cal and Zion...to insure EJ comes to UK and screw over pUKe...to wait until the latest possible moment then joins UK. It is all orchestrated, announcing during UK vs fla. Saying nice things bout our recruits...it would definitely drive ratings up for the Opening game of the NCAA basketball season...Cal's/Zion revenge...
Anyone else notice Reddish hands, Look miniscule next to RJ n Zions
Trying their best to make a McDonald's sign but they can't spell "M"What are the fist together thumbs out things?
Oh yea!!! I think K along with many others I'd assume is a better X and O coach than Cal. But as far as a player manager, and managing ego's- NOPE!!! He cant and wont do it. There is no way he could pull of a platoon. He has a great team to do it with but he doesn't have the skills to do so. Plus I don't think they'd have the personnel to do it right. They've got like 76 SF's.
I don’t see any reason to call Williamson a bum. That just seems like sour grapes. But as I have said here several times before, I question his work ethic. He carries way too much weight, which explains all the nagging leg injuries and calls into question his conditioning and nutrition habits. I think he is at a crossroad. He must get serious about his conditioning, our else he will underachieve. IMO.Zion is a bum anyway

Not sure where that rumor started, but I've seen a few videos of all the Duke recruits hanging out during these Allstar games, and they all seemed to get along pretty well in those videos.
They're giving their assessment of a movie they watched together. What are the fist together thumbs out things?

I like your sayings at the bottom. Here's a couple more.Off camera dude, off camera...(With an open mic...)
Those on here trying to downplay Zion and what he will do his 1 year in College will be in for a rough surprise IMO. The kid will be a stud next year for Duke.

The kid is obviously extremely talented. Some of these assessments are not only dumb but make people look petty after all the hype this board gave him the past year.
I still believe they are going to be very spotty with a less than stellar point guard and Bolden at center.
Who is their glue guy? Their Amile Jefferson?
The last 3 freshmen studs included a point guard, who although ball dominant is a distributor, a center on the block with only one wing (Winslow)...
3 wings...?

I definitely think they will struggle at times as I don't think their talent mixes well with the makeup of their team. There's no denying they have some crazy talent coming in. I hope they flop hard and it sucks what little life K has left lol.
If they don't do well the the phrase used by Cal a few years ago at halftime "Duke flopping all over the place" could take on a whole new meaning.I definitely think they will struggle at times as I don't think their talent mixes well with the makeup of their team. From what I have seen of Reddish and hearing about the losses he took in high school, he doesn't seem like an alpha to me. Now Barrett clearly is and I assume Zion is as well.I think if any of them are overrated and don't contribute much, it will be Reddish. I don't agree with some in the thread. He might be the nicer of the bunch but he's the weakest link of the three imo.
