Jahvon Quinerly put together a successful season for Alabama this past season and has already announced that he’s returning for his senior campaign in 2022-2023. After averaging 13.8 points, 4.2 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game while shooting 41.1% from the field last season, Quinerly played a significant role in the Crimson Tide’s success – meaning his return is a big deal.

Although Quinerly was a consistent performer for Alabama in 2021-2022, the season didn’t end the way the guard had hoped. In the Tide’s loss to Notre Dame in the NCAA Tournament on March 18, Quinerly suffered a left knee injury in the opening minutes of the game and has been rehabbing since.

As he suffered his injury nearly a month-and-a-half ago, Quinerly has been putting in the work to get back on the court as soon as possible – but, like anything else, it takes time. While there’s been rumors surfacing on the timetable for his return, Quinerly has clapped back and set the record straight.

“Let’s stop throwing around opinionated timetables on when I’ll be ready to go next season,” Quinerly wrote Wednesday night on Twitter. “I’m at one of the best places in the world to rehab and I watched several teammates go through the same thing and come back stronger & before expected so let me focus up. Thank you.”

Quinerly – a former On3 Consensus five-star recruit out of the Class of 2018 – has been an important part of Alabama’s team over the past two seasons. After averaging 12.9 points per game in 2020-2021, Quinerly improved his numbers last year and should be able to take another step forward next season.

Quinerly’s best game of the 2021-2022 campaign came in a win over South Dakota State on Nov. 12, as he put up 26 points, eight assists and five rebounds. The guard scored in double figures 23 times last season.
