Alabama RB Jam Miller and DL Tim Keenan III aren’t expected to play against Wisconsin on Saturday, On3’s Chris Low confirms. Despite this, both are expected to dress out and participate in warm ups.

Miller, a senior, has missed the first two games of the regular season with a dislocated collarbone suffered during the preseason. Meanwhile, Keenan is nursing an ankle injury and was labeled as a game-time decision by head coach Kalen DeBoer earlier this week.

Miller’s collarbone injury stems from an incident during Alabama’s final preseason scrimmage and underwent a procedure that same day August 16th. There was hope Miller would only miss the non-conference portion of their schedule with their first game in SEC play Sept. 27 at Georgia, which is still on the table.

That would mean Miller is right on time regarding his injury timeline. The senior running back has made considerable progress and even warmed up with the team during Week 2’s 73-0 win over Louisiana-Monroe.

“Yeah, we’ve got a number of guys that are day-to-day, and he would certainly be one of them,” DeBoer said Monday. “We’re optimistic that there could be a chance. You know, I really don’t think we’ll know until we get later in the week. … You saw him in pregame. He was out there doing some things, aggressively trying to continue to push forward. You can see that with Jam. He’s chomping at the bit.”

Like Miller, Keenan has yet to play for the Crimson Tide this season amid his recovery. He underwent surgery last month, and his timeline for return remains to be seen. However, it’s a positive sign to see him set to participate in warmups ahead of Saturday’s game vs. the Badgers.

Keenan, an Alabama team captain, went viral last week after appearing to get in DeBoer’s ear with some sort of motivational speech. DeBoer nodded as Keenan spoke.

“That’s just TK,” DeBoer said. “He loves this team, and he’s been nothing but the high-end support and giving everything you got.”

Kickoff between the Crimson Tide and Badgers is set for Noon ET and will air live on ABC. While Alabama will be missing out on two of its stars, the Crimson Tide are still favored to with the matchup.

According to BetMGM, Alabama is a 20.5-point betting favorite to beat Wisconsin in Tuscaloosa. The over/under is set at 45.5 total points.
