Taylen Green warms up for Manning Passing Academy with helmet camera

Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green gave fans a look from the inside at the Manning Passing Academy this weekend. Green partnered with Riddell Sports, which placed a camera inside his helmet to show what it was like from his perspective as he warmed up.
The QB was making short passing, throwing the ball back and forth with someone who stood in the back of the end zone while he was in the red zone. It was still a unique point of view to take in the action from, and you can view it below.
Green was one of more than 40 players across college football who attended the Manning Passing Academy along with names such as Arch Manning (Texas) and Drew Allar (Penn State). He is getting ready to enter his second season as the Razorbacks’ starting quarterback after leading them to a 7-6 record this past year.
Taylen Green finished that season with 3,154 yards passing and 15 touchdowns to nine interceptions along with 602 yards rushing and eight touchdowns on the ground. He is getting ready to enter his fifth year of college overall after playing his first three seasons at Boise State.

Arkansas coach Sam Pittman spoke this offseason about what it meant for the team to bring back Green. He’ll return as one of the more experienced quarterbacks in the SEC as the Razorbacks look to take another step forward under his guidance.
“He wants to be a Hog, he wants to play here, he wants to play for the state,” Pittman said. “And that’s nothing against the guys that got in the portal. It isn’t. Their business is their business, but it’s a big deal to me that he wants to stay here and run it back and stay with Bobby (Petrino) and stay with that offense. I think it will be so big and beneficial to him, and it will help us in recruiting as well.”
Green already showed flashes of what he is capable of last season and his dual-threat ability could make him one of the more dynamic quarterbacks to watch in the SEC. If he can hone in on limiting turnovers and his accuracy, things he likely received some pointers on at the Manning Passing Academy, he could become an even better player this year. Arkansas is set to open up the season on Aug. 30 against Alabama A&M.
