After initially committing on January 7, Gadsden (Ala.) Southside three-star interior offensive lineman Jamin Brown has decommitted from Baylor.
“I’d like to start off and say thank you to Coach Aranda and the coaching staff at Baylor for everything they’ve done for me,” Brown wrote in a statement on social media. “After talking with my parents and my coaches, I’ve decided to decommit from Baylor University. My recruitment is now 100% open.”

Brown visited in-state Alabama in February and had high praise for the new staff.
“It was awesome,” Brown told BOL. “A great opportunity to meet the new staff and see the facilities. Coach Huff is awesome. Very down-to-earth, genuine coach that loves what he does and brings great energy to Alabama. Coach DeBoer is gonna do great things at Alabama. He’s a winner and I believe he’s gonna uphold the Bama standard.”
Brown holds offers from the Bears, Appalachian State, Georgia Tech, Kentucky and Memphis among others.
