Former Maryland OT Andre Roye has committed to Colorado from the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. Hayes Fawcett reported the news.

This comes after Roye, a spring transfer and one of the top-available offensive tackles in the portal, took a visit to Boulder. Now, he has since given his commitment to the Buffaloes.

Roye spent the past three seasons with the Terrapins. He has appeared in 16 games in total while in college, with a redshirt after appearing in three during his first year, including seven starts at left tackle last fall while in College Park.

A native of District Heights, Maryland, Roye played his high school football at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore. He was a Top-650 overall recruit there as a three-star in the 2022 cycle. He rated as a Top-50 offensive tackle in the class and just outside the Top-10 players from the state of Maryland at No. 11. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’d then go on to commit to the Terps over other top programs like Penn State, USC, Arizona State, and NC State.

Now, Roye was one of the top offensive tackles still uncommitted in the transfer portal. He, per the latest update to On3’s Industry Ranking of 2025’s Top Transfer Portal Players, rated just inside the Top-1,300 overall and as a Top-100 OT at No. 83, which had him among the Top-15 at the position still available.

Roye is now the latest addition to another top portal class for Deion Sanders. He brings them to double-digit commitments in the spring and is the first one to join since the turn to the month of May.
