On3's No. 1 RB Cedric Baxter Jr. taking unofficial visit to Florida

Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater four-star running back Cedric Baxter Jr. is making an unofficial visit to Florida this weekend, On3 National Recruiting Analyst Gerry Hamilton reports.

Baxter is ranked as the No. 30 prospect and No. 1 running back in the 2023 On300 ranking.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has the Gators as the favorites for his recruitment at 53.6%.

However, Baxter told On3’s Chad Simmons that the Crimson Tide are his top school at the moment.

“From the jump, ‘Bama has been recruiting me,” Baxter said. “I’m not going to lie, that’s probably my favorite school right now.”

Baxter was in Austin, Texas, last weekend for his official visit to Texas.

“It was amazing,” Baxter told On3. “It was everything I expected, and more. It was definitely a 10. I had a great time.”

Baxter has said he plans to use his official visit to Florida in December because that is when they want him to take his official.

He is the No. 43 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $181k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
