Duce Robinson injury update: Florida State WR heads to locker room before halftime vs. Pitt

Florida State wide receiver Duce Robinson went to the locker room after appearing to be injured late in the first half against Pitt. Robinson caught a screen pass on first down and remained on the ground after the hit.
He walked off toward to the sideline by himself and did not enter the medical tent. However, after a few minutes he was directed toward the locker room for further evaluation. Robinson caught two passes for 10 yards during the first half.
During the opening minutes of the third quarter, ESPN’s Taylor McGregor revealed that Robinson was still in the locker room after play resumed. He has been deemed questionable to return.
Robinson left the game during a pivotal drive for Florida State. He was injured while tied at 14 a piece with just over one minute left in the first half. Shortly after, the Seminoles scored a miraculous touchdown from QB Tommy Castellanos to TE Landen Thomas.
Castellanos appeared to be sacked in a collapsed pocket, but evaded the pressure before making a fall-away throw to Thomas for a touchdown strike. There was six seconds left in the halftime after the play.

The touchdown broke a 14-14 tie, giving the Seminoles the lead at halftime. Pitt would answer early, tying the game at 21 as the second half continued. Fans can watch the rest of the second half live on ESPN, as it appears we’re in for an exciting finish.
For Robinson, he’s the Seminoles’ top wide receiver on the year. He came into Saturday’s matchup with 23 catches for 433 yards and three touchdowns. Micahi Danzy and Lawayne McCoy are the only two wide receivers on Florida State’s roster with at least 100 yards receiving so far this season.
He’s in his first season with the program after spending the first two years of his career with USC. Robinson has already eclipsed his career-high receiving yards total so far, and is two touchdowns away from matching his career-high from last season.
Robinson has starred in his role so far. He’s shown his star potential in two separate matchups this season. He caught five catches for 173 yards and a pair of touchdowns against E Texas A&M. He followed that up later in September against Virginia, catching nine passes for 147 yards and another touchdowns during an eventual 46-38 loss to the Cavaliers in double overtime.
