New lines for major college football games in 2024 have been released by Fan Duel, and three of those lines involve Georgia games.

Lines have already been set for the Clemson, Alabama and Ole Miss games, and Georgia will be favored in all three games.

The Bulldogs are favored by 12.5 points against the Tigers, by 3.0 points against the Crimson Tide and by 3.5 points against the Rebels. Needless to say, there will be some Georgia games next fall likely to generate plenty of interest.

And for its part, Georgia should be fully capable of commanding that interest.

The return of starting quarterback Carson Beck should help make up for the loss of elite matchup nightmare Brock Bowers on offense. Beck had a tremendous 2023 season and could be even better next fall.

As usual, he’ll have some quality options to choose from at the skill positions, with Georgia absolutely reloading there through the NCAA transfer portal.

The Bulldogs have added a trio of quality receivers in the likes of USC‘s Michael Jackson III, Miami‘s Colbie Young and Vanderbilt‘s London Humphreys. They also added Florida star running back Trevor Etienne in the backfield.

The defense, once again, returns plenty of pieces and should be stout. All of that is reason for optimism going into the three biggest games of the season next fall.

Clemson will return its starting quarterback, Cade Klubnik, but he was just so-so during the 2023 season. The Tigers will have to replace do-it-all running back Will Shipley.

Moving ahead to Alabama, the Crimson Tide return starting quarterback Jalen Milroe but have lost several other pieces to the NFL Draft or the transfer portal. Meanwhile, Nick Saban has retired and the Kalen DeBoer era will begin.

There will likely be some transition for the Tide as they get used to life after Saban.

Finally, Ole Miss returns a good deal of offensive production in the likes of quarterback Jaxson Dart, receiver Tre Harris and tight end Caden Prieskorn. That’s a lot of firepower for a Lane Kiffin led squad.

Throw in some of the excellent pieces Ole Miss has added defensively through the NCAA transfer portal, and the Rebels should be as tough an out as any next season. A line of just 3.5 points against Georgia is indicative of that.
