Georgia defensive back Julian Humphrey is no longer planning to enter the NCAA transfer portal, he told On3 and DawgsHQ’s Rusty Mansell. Humphrey previously told On3’s Hayes Fawcett about his intention to transfer.

“I know with a great year at Georgia, I can get to the NFL,” Humphrey told DawgsHQ. “The more I thought about this, why would I leave Georgia for a couple more bucks? I want to be there, it is Georgia and that is one of the top premier programs in the country.”

Humphrey was preparing to step into a larger role on the Georgia defense in 2023, totaling 11 tackles and a pass breakup before suffering an injury. He spent the 2022 campaign in a reserve role as a freshman.

Julian Humphrey played high school football at Clear Lake (TX), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 82 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
