Kansas State DE Felix Anudike-Uzomah declares for 2023 NFL Draft

Kansas State defensive end Felix Anudike-Uzomah has declared for the 2023 NFL Draft. Anudike-Uzomah made his announcement on Twitter on Thursday morning.
Anudike-Uzomah was a three-star prospect by the On3 consensus ratings but ranked barely inside the top 200 at his position coming out of Lee’s Summit (MO.) High School. Anudike-Uzomah elevated his game to another level once he got to college, though and became a legendary pass-rusher for the Wildcats.
Anudike-Uzomah finishes his K-State career with 97 tackles, 26.5 of which were for loss, and 20.5 sacks in three years. Anudike-Uzomah was a two-time Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year, two-time All-Big 12 First Team pick, a Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and a First Team All-American.
“I’ve believed in myself since the day, the beginning. Basically, I came to K-State with opportunity,” Anudike-Uzomah said before Kansas State’s Sugar Bowl appearance. “I knew I had full advantage because nobody really believed in me that much. And I just had a couple of followers, like my family, who believed in me, and I just took that to my advantage. I took all the things that — I took all my opportunities to my advantage and made the most of it.”

The 2023 NFL Draft is set to take place from Thursday, April 27 through Saturday, April 29 in Kansas City, Missouri. The event will be held at the plaza just outside of Union Station.
Round 1 of the NFL Draft is set to begin at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, Apr. 27. Rounds 2-3 will begin at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, Apr. 28, and Rounds 4-7 will begin at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday, Apr. 29. The draft will be broadcasted throughout the weekend on both ESPN and NFL Network.

Underclassmen are able to request league approval to become eligible for the draft, as are players who have graduated prior to using up all of their collegiate eligibility. 100 underclassmen were approved for last year’s draft. 73 of those 100 underclassmen were granted special eligibility while 27 of them were underclassmen who had completed their college degrees.
The 2023 NFL scouting combine will take place from Feb. 28 through March 6 in Indianapolis.
