Kansas State guard Achor Achor was dismissed from the team, according to Jeff Goodman. The reason is currently unknown.
“Kansas State’s Achor Achor has been dismissed from the team, source told The Field of 68,“Goodman wrote on Twitter. “Achor was averaging 7.3 points and 2.7 rebounds this season after transferring in from Samford – where he averaged 16.1 points and 6.1 rebounds last season.”
KSO’s Derek Young confirmed the report. Achor began his career at Samford and was set for his first season with Kansas State.
As a member of the Class of 2020, Achor was not ranked, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He played basketball at Greenforest Mccalep Christian Academy. He is from Melbourne, Australia.

Achor had a successful two seasons at Samford playing for the Bulldogs. This season the junior really took a jump in production. The Australia native averaged 16.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game. He also shot 58.6 percent from the field and 43 percent from three-point range.
His career high in points came against Western Carolina this season where he posted 35 points along with 10 rebounds and two blocks. Samford played two games against power competition this season, in the season opener against Purdue, Achor scored six points while hauling in seven rebounds. In the NCAA Tournament against Kansas, the junior tallied 23 points and eight rebounds while shooting 40 percent from the floor.
As a sophomore, Achor averaged 6.1 points and 3.5 rebounds per contest in 30 games recording one start. His season high in points as a sophomore came against Alabama A&M tallying 18 points and eight rebounds in 21 minutes coming off the bench for the Bulldogs.
