Relationship with coaching staff
“Coach Sherman, Kerry Cooks, Matt House, Antonio Fenelus and of course coach Brian Kelly,” Williams said when asked which coaches he’s closest to. “ We talk about just life and laugh a lot. We crack jokes and also talk about football. They see me as a player that can play all phases at the safety position–rover, free and nickel.
He ranks as the No. 71 player in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally-weighted industry generated average that accounts for all four major recruiting services. The 2024 prospect also tabs in at the No.5 safety and the No.12 player in the state of Texas.
Maurice Williams is LSU’s first commitment in the ‘24 class.
