As LSU got a massive opening win against Arkansas in the College World Series, plenty of big-name Tiger fans were in attendance. Livvy Dunne was one of them but without the person directly tying her to the program, Paul Skenes. The star pitcher is in Chicago with the Pittsburgh Pirates, where they will play a series finale Sunday afternoon at Wrigley Field.

Skenes still found his way into Charles Schwab Field, though. A photo was posted of Dunne with some other LSU fans, including Raising Cane’s owner Todd Graves. In Dunne’s hand was her cellphone with Skenes on FaceTime.

She spent time in Omaha when Skenes was helping LSU win a national championship back in 2023. As he did throughout the entire season, Skenes was dominant during his College World Series performances. Tennessee and Wake Forest were on the receiving end of 15.2 innings pitched, giving up seven hits and two earned runs (both against the Vols), while striking out 21 batters and walking just two.

Of course, the journey ended with the entire LSU team rushing onto the field for celebration. A program known for winning national championships, Skenes was right in the middle of it all. Despite only spending one s
