Tanasha Faulk, the daughter of former LSU great Kevin Faulk, has died unexpectedly at age 30, according to a report from The Advocate. Foul play is not suspected.

Faulk, who has three daughters, died at age 30 at Oschner Lafayette General Medical Center, per The Advocate. She is the second of Faulk’s children to have died unexpectedly.

In September 2021, Kevione Faulk died at the age of 19, serving as a student worker for LSU’s football program at the time. Kevin Faulk, notably, was working in Baton Rouge then.

Faulk served as LSU’s director of player development in 2018-19, then worked as the program’s running backs coach in 2020-21. He then took a job as a running backs intern with the New York Giants in 2022, following the firing of Ed Orgeron and his coaching staff.

Kevin Faulk was a star running back at LSU from 1995-98. At the time he finished his career, he had 4,557 yards rushing. That was the second-best total in SEC history behind Georgia‘s Herschel Walker at the time.

Faulk was named the SEC Freshman of the Year in 1995, then was a three-time first-team All-SEC selection from 1996-98. Faulk was a first-team All-American in 1996 and a third-team All-American in 1997.

He would go on to have a successful professional career. He spent 13 seasons with the New England Patriots after they drafted him in the second round in 1999.

Faulk totaled 3,607 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns during 161 games played in the NFL. He won three Super Bowl titles with the Patriots and was later named to the franchise’s Hall of Fame.

Off the field, Kevin Faulk emerged as one of the LSU fanbase’s favorite players. He was beloved in Baton Rouge, and the community will undoubtedly offer its support through this trying time.
