Four-Star QB Colin Hurley commits to LSU, reclassifies to 2024

Four-star quarterback Colin Hurley of Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian Academy announced his commitment to LSU Friday morning.
The 6-foot-2, 215 pounder chose the Tigers over Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and others.
Hurley also announced that he will reclassify from the 2025 class to 2024.
Colin Hurley on why he chose LSU
“My recruitment process has been great. It’s a small part of my overall football journey, which has been amazing – a true blessing.
I’ve won two state titles, been named as Florida Overall Player of the Year, All State First Team, and received several awards and accolades, so I am honored, humbled and grateful and give Glory to God and have so many people to thank.
My parents, coaches, teachers, trainers and everyone who supported and believed in me. I would also be remiss if I didn’t thank, and acknowledge the many coaches and programs that recruited me. I am grateful to all of them.

Let’s talk LSU and Baton Rouge. Since the first time I stepped onto campus, it’s been special.
I’ve built a connection with the staff. Coach Kelly, Coach Sloan, Coach Denbrock, Jordan Arcement, Jon Belton, Destiny Wilson…they’re all amazing people. They’ve always been available to me. The program is storied. They play in the SEC. I also love the Baton Rouge community and feel like I fit in.
I want to be coached hard, compete, learn, develop, lead, and win. I feel I’ll get all of that, at LSU.”
Hurley ranks as the No. 23 player in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that accounts all four major recruiting services. He also tabs in as the No. quarterback and the No. 4 player in the state of Florida.
