LSU cornerback Denver Harris enters the NCAA Transfer Portal

LSU cornerback Denver Harris has entered the transfer portal, per On3’s Pete Nakos.
Harris spent one season with the Tigers, appearing in five games while making three starts. Harris last played against Auburn on Oct. 14. In his limited time on the field, Harris tallied seven tackles and two pass breakups.
Harris’ lack of playing time was a mystery for much of the season. He transferred to LSU after spending one season at Texas A&M, where he was suspended indefinitely for an incident in the team locker room. When asked about Harris and Duce Chestnut’s absences, LSU head coach Brian Kelly was vague.
“We’ll have to sit down. We have not sat down with them,” Brian Kelly previously said. “We’re going to wait until the end of the semester and then we’ll sit down and have individual conversations with both of them.”
Evidently, Harris heard all he needed. Denver Harris played high school football at Houston (Texas) North Shore, where he was a five-star prospect. He was the No. 23 overall recruit and No. 3 cornerback in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
