Brian Kelly can’t seem to avoid getting hit on the sideline this season. Just two weeks after the LSU coach was trucked by a referee against Clemson, he took another brutal hit Saturday against Florida.

The incident occurred during a play in the first half as two players got tangled up after a play. They came tumbling to the ground near the sideline, where they ran into Kelly as he was making his way over toward a referee. You can view the moment below.

It was surely a painful moment for Kelly, and he’s going to have to do a better job of paying attention to avoid these situations in the future. However, he’s likely just happy to see LSU escape with a win.

The Tigers earned a 20-10 victory after forcing quarterack DJ Lagway to throw for five interceptions. They improved to 3-0 on the season and next have a matchup against Southeastern Louisiana coming up next week.

Brian Kelly goes on fiery rant after questions about LSU offense vs. Florida: ‘I don’t know what you want from me’

Kelly walked into his postgame press conference after LSU beat Florida a little fired up. After an opening statement, a question was asked about the Tigers’ offensive performance. It’s a third game in a row where the unit struggled after entering the season with incredibly high expectations. Kelly did not take too kindly to the question.

“Stop, really? Is that the first question?” Kelly asked. “We won the game 20-10. Try another question. What do you want me to tell you? I just laid it out for you. We played the game to win the game. We played the game to win the game.”

A follow-up then came from the reporter, asking about LSU’s efforts on third down. Not a great number, converting only four of 14 opportunities. Not what any head coach wants to read in a box score after a game. Still, the appreciation level of the question only worsened on Kelly’s end.

“It’s one game,” Kelly said. “Last game, we were good on third down. You’re looking at this from the wrong perspective. LSU won the football game, won the game. I don’t know what you want from me. What do you want? You want us to win 70-0 against a Florida to keep you happy?”
