Report: Tigers forward KJ Williams withdrawing from NBA Draft, returning to LSU

The LSU men’s basketball team is getting back forward KJ Williams. According to college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, Williams has officially withdrawn from the 2022 NBA draft and will return to LSU.
The 6-foot-10 forward transferred to the Tigers from the Murray State Racers, following former Murray State head coach Matt McMahon. The former Murray State head coach took over the position shortly after the Racers were bounced from the NCAA Tournament.

Williams has spent all four years with the Racers, with last year being his best year in the program. He finished last season averaging 18 points and 8.4 rebounds in 29.1 minutes per game. The volume of his shooting also increased during the 2021-2022 season, which led to a slight dip in his field goal percentage, going from 56.7 percent to 53.8.
With Williams heading to LSU for the 2022-2023 season, the Tigers have more than enough talent on their roster to compete for the SEC crown and quite possibly a national title.
