LSU interim coach Frank Wilson provided an injury update on the statuses of offensive linemen Tyree Adams and Carius Curne during his Monday media availability. According to Wilson, Adams will not play against Alabama this weekend while Curne is considered questionable.

“(Curne) was here yesterday for the scouting report and the walkthrough for Alabama,” Wilson told the media. “He participated in it. We’re hopeful. We’re taking it day by day.”

Adams has been nursing an injury that he suffered against Vanderbilt last month, so Curne started in place of the injured left tackle against Texas A&M. However, Curne was hurt during LSU’s loss to Texas A&M, suffering a leg injury during the fourth quarter.

If Curne, a true freshman top 50 recruit in the 2025 recruiting class, is unable to play, Wilson said he’s already working on a lineup solution for Saturday night in Tuscaloosa. Though, nothing is set in stone as of Monday’s press conference.

“We’re working on it,” Wilson said. “We’re working on exactly how that would look, whether that would be DJ Chester or whether that would be swapping Weston (Davis) over. We have a couple of scenarios that we’re looking at right now. Probably the most immediate thing would be is to put DJ Chester in that left tackle and do the things we need to do to allow him to play his very best.”

In addition to the injuries along the offensive line, LSU star linebacker Whit Weeks is also considered questionable heading into the Week 11 matchup. Wilson said that he’d try to practice Weeks on Monday and Tuesday to get some type of measurement of his status.

“We’ll build it as the week goes on based on his pain tolerance,” Wilson said. Weeks is currently dealing with an ankle injury that has kept him out of the last two games against Vanderbilt and Texas A&M. LSU was on a bye after its loss to the Aggies, so Weeks has had an additional week to heal ahead of arguably the biggest game left on their regular season schedule.

More information on Curne’s injury, as well as Weeks’ will be made available on LSU’s Wednesday injury report, which gets released at roughly 8:10 p.m. ET each week in SEC play from Wednesday through Friday. Kickoff between the Tigers and Crimson Tide is set for Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET live on ABC.
