Carson Beck is looking healthy as he prepares for his first season with Miami. In his final game with Georgia, the quarterback was injured just before halftime of the SEC Championship Game.

That ended up being a UCL injury that would require surgery, and he has since been recovering to get back on the field. Now, he’s shared a video to his Instagram of himself tossing dimes all over the field, readying for a new chapter with the Hurricanes. CaneSport relayed the video to X. Check it out.

The video is the latest in a string of good news surrounding Beck for the Hurricanes. With the ACC spring meetings underway in Amelia Island, Mario Cristobal shared an update on the quarterback: “He’s good to go,” he told ESPN. “He’s exceeding every benchmark.”

Cristobal added that Beck has been throwing for three weeks after missing all of spring practice. That’s part of his rehab. He’s still yet to throw to the Miami wide receivers in an organized practice. Cristobal also recently did share that he’ll be ready for Miami’s player-led practices.

Moreover, Beck was replaced by Gunner Stockton in Athens, who helped the Bulldogs to win the SEC Championship Game and played in the College Football Playoff. He’d then enter the Transfer Portal, openly landing at Miami. At the time, it was reported that Beck was going to make $4 million with the Hurricanes.

In his time with Georgia, Carson Beck was able to start for the Bulldogs from 2023-24. In 27 games over the course of those two years as a starter, he threw for 7,426 yards and 52 touchdowns. However, the 2024 season was a frustrating one at times for Beck. He dropped from a 72.4 percent completion percentage in 2023 to a completion percentage of just 64.7 percent in 2024. He also threw an SEC-high 12 interceptions.

At Miami, Beck is looking to replace Cam Ward. The first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Ward led Miami to a 10-3 record. It was the best season for the Hurricanes under Cristobal.

The bloom may be off the rose a bit for Carson Beck, but Miami fans are still excited to have one of the top quarterbacks in the country playing for their school. If he can figure it all out in 2025, the Hurricanes can certainly make a fair bit of noise.
