Top-60 DL T.A. Cunningham sets Miami visit

Los Alamitos (Calif.) four-star defensive lineman T.A. Cunningham will visit Miami this weekend. He announced the news on Twitter.
Cunningham is the No. 58 overall prospect and No. 9 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 6 player in California.
The 6-foot-6.5, 275-pound Cunningham holds 45 Power Five offers and the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has USC with a narrow lead over multiple schools to land a commitment from Cunningham.
Cunningham recently talked with CaneSport’s Stephen Wagner about his interest in Miami and hoped that he would be able to get on campus soon.

“Right now the schools I’m hearing from the most are Oklahoma, Miami, Texas A&M, LSU, Penn State, Tennessee and TCU,” Cunningham told On3 at the time. “I’ve got the best relationship with coach Joe Salave’a, the defensive line coach. They’re really looking forward to getting me on campus for a visit so I can really see what Miami is all about.”
“My recruitment is still very open, but they’re definitely up there.”

Miami finished the 2023 recruiting cycle with the No. 6 class in the country but have gotten off to a slow start in 2024. The Hurricanes currently only have one commitment in kicker Abram Murray.
T.A. Cunningham currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $134K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
