Jordan Marshall injury update: Michigan RB leaves game in fourth quarter vs Northwestern

Michigan running back Jordan Marshall appeared to have injured his right arm or shoulder during the fourth quarter against Northwestern at Saturday. He was tackled by Wildcats linebacker Mac Uihlein and remained on the ground after the play.
Bryson Kuzdzal replaced Marshall after his injury, and the drive ended with QB Bryce Underwood throwing his second interception of the game. The injury comes at an awful time for the Wolverines, trailing the Wildcats 22-21 during the final period.
Marshall was shown on the FOX broadcast heavily favoring his shoulder. He also didn’t have his helmet with him as he looked on while on the sideline. Notably, trainers did not take him to the locker room immediately. At the time he left the game, he had 19 carries for 142 yards and two touchdowns.
Coming into the matchup, Marshall totaled 124 carries for 729 yards and eight touchdowns on the season. He is the Wolverines’ featured tailback after junior running back Justice Haynes underwent surgery on his injured foot earlier this month. His timeline for injury remains to be seen.
Haynes has over 850 yards of offense and 10 rushing touchdowns to his credit during the season. Now, it appears as though their second tailback isn’t going to be 100% after suffering the injury.
