Michigan offers 4-star WR Johntay Cook II
Michigan has extended an offer to DeSoto (Texas) four-star wide receiver Johntay Cook II.
Cook is the No. 56 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
That makes him the 11th-best wideout in the class and ninth-best player from the state of Texas.
โI want that five-star ranking and being the No. 1 ranked receiver in the nation,โ Cook told Inside Texas. โThatโs really what I want. Thatโs why I work so hard, making all these plays. I feel like Iโm the best in my class. Iโm going to show it every chance I get.โย
Cook has an On3 NIL Valuation of $59,000, which currently ranks 36th among high school football players. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athleteโs value at a certain moment in time.
