Mike Morris not in uniform for Michigan ahead of Big Ten Championship vs Purdue

Michigan appears to be going into Saturday’s Big Ten Championship without its sacks leader. Mike Morris wasn’t in uniform ahead of the game, according to The Detroit News’ Angelique Chengelis.
Morris suffered an injury against Nebraska and has played through it the last three weeks. He was a game time decision last week against Ohio State and had one tackle in the contest. In 11 games this year, Morris leads the Wolverines with 7.5 sacks to go with 11 tackles for loss.
Michigan sealed a spot in the Big Ten title game with a victory over the Buckeyes at The Horseshoe last week to win the Big Ten East. The Wolverines are taking on a Purdue team that won a jam-packed Big Ten West with an 8-4 overall record, including a 6-3 mark in conference play. The game will kick off at 8 p.m. ET from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Jim Harbaugh calls victory over Ohio State one of the biggest wins in Michigan history
Michigan earned some serious bragging rights this weekend during what became their second straight win in The Game. After beating Ohio State for the first time in Jim Harbaugh’s tenure a year ago, they came to Columbus this season and did it again by knocking off the Buckeyes 45-23. All things considered, Harbaugh believes it will eventually go down as one of the biggest victories in the storied history of the Wolverine football program.

Harbaugh shared his thoughts on that opinion during his press conference on Monday. He said, of all the great wins that he’s been a part of in Ann Arbor, that this one felt afterward like one that would be remembered forever.
“Humbly, we’d say that. Definitely right up there as one of the greatest wins. And we’ve had a lot of good ones,” said Harbaugh.
