Ackerman (Miss.) Choctaw County 2025 five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham is set to visit Mississippi State this weekend, according to his social media.

Cunningham is the nation’s No. 10 overall prospect and No. 2 wide receiver in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the top recruit in Mississippi.

Cunningham has visited a number of schools multiple times according to the On3 Visit Center — including Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Alabama, LSU and Florida State.

MaroonandWhite.com recruiting insider Paul Jones logged an expert prediction at a 90% confidence interval that the Bulldogs would land Cunningham. His pick was entered on December 10.

“It is about who stays in contact with me and who makes me feel wanted,” Cunningham told On3 in August about what he is looking for in a school. “Those schools have done a very good job with that. I have visited each except for Auburn and USC too, so I have a feel for the campus, I have met the coaches and I like the feeling with those schools.

“… Then it is about the fit. I think I could fit into those offenses well, make an impact early and do well at those schools.”

Caleb Cunningham Scouting Summary

“Bouncy outside receiver with the upside to become a skilled ball-winner. Listed at an unverified 6-foot-3, 185 pounds. Moves well at that size. Shows the ability to come down with catches in contested situations. Naturally coordinated and can locate the football at its highest point. Also shows some ability to make defenders miss after the catch. Doubles as a fantastic high school basketball player who lives above the rim, throwing down dunks with regularity. Also posted strong marks in the high jump (6-0 feet) and triple jump (43-4.25 feet) as a freshman. Has considerable natural ability but will need to hone his technical skill at the position over the final few years of high school football. Could stand to be more productive. Plays at a smaller high school and doesn’t face top competition.”
