Mississippi State baseball player Nolan Stevens enters NCAA transfer portal

Mississippi State baseball player Nolan Stevens entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. The pitcher and fielder will look elsewhere after two seasons.
Stevens later confirmed his intentions on Instagram. He thanked the program for his time in Starkville.
“Thank you, Mississippi State, for everything you have done for me,” Stevens wrote on Instagram. “The friends, family, and brotherhood I have created here will always have a place in my heart and will forever feel like a second home. Coming from across the country and not knowing anyone, I could not have asked for a better experience, and I could not have felt more welcomed by the people in Starkville. This is the hardest goodbye for me.
“God has a plan for everybody. Thank you, Mississippi State, for everything. Roman’s 8:18, year 2 (Check mark).”
Stevens finished his sophomore campaign with a .320 batting average, four home runs, 21 RBI and 32 hits across the season (37 games). He also had a .414 on-base percentage.
