The name Jurrangelo Cijntje is remarkably rare. It turns out there’s plenty of other things about him that are remarkably rare, including the Mississippi State standout’s ability to pitch well with both arms. It’s one of the rarest sights in baseball and it’s remarkably impressive that Cijnte can pull it off. He won his second game of the season on Wednesday against the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks, in a 14-3 beatdown.

Check it out below as the gifted ace shows off his ambidextrous pitching.

Mississippi State got plenty of help from their batters

It was a great way to get back in the win column for Mississippi State, and they are really, really lucky to have a pitcher that can do the things that Cijnte can do. The Bulldogs got some help from their sluggers, including Dakota Jordan, who absolutely blasted three-run shot 474 feet, to put Mississippi State up 13-0 in the seventh inning. They got plenty of help from other bats in the lineup, including Bryce Chance, who had one run, hit, RBI, and a walk.

The Bulldogs scored five runs in the fourth inning and six runs in the seventh inning, and those two innings alone helped them put the game well out of reach on Wednesday night.

Cjinte was impressive. He threw seven strikeouts in four innings of work for the Bulldogs on Wednesday. It was his second win of the season. Will Gibbs also had four strikeouts in the eighth and ninth innings for MSU.

Mississippi State is back in action Friday when they face off against Arizona State. First pitch for that one is slated for 4:00 PM EST on the SEC Network-plus. With the win on Wednesday night, the Bulldogs split the series with Louisiana Monroe. MSU now currently sits at 3-2 overall for the 2023 season.
