WATCH: DeAndre Gholston banks in buzzer-beating three to propel Missouri to victory over UCF
DeAndre Gholston has made the Saturday of Missouri fans everywhere, while simultaneously ruining the weekend for UCF faithful.
Down one point with the game on the line, Gholston pulled up from way deep as time expired. The bank was open and that was all she wrote — the Tigers defeated the Knights 68-66 on an exhilarating buzzer-beater.
Check out the video below, a moment that Gholston will sure remember for the rest of his life.
All in all, Ghoston amassed 16 points on the day, scoring the second-most points of the day for the Tigers, and doing so off the bench. Leading the way for Missouri on the day was Nick Honor, who dropped 17 points against UCF.
Meanwhile, UCF was led by guard Ithiel Horton, who scored 19 points in a tough loss for the Knights. UCF had been on a nice little hot streak, but it all came to an end at the hands of Gholston.

With the victory, Missouri avenged their loss in their most recent game against rival Kansas, and advanced their record to 10-1 on the season. On the other hand, UCF is now 8-3 on the season, unable to capitalize on their big victory over Ole Miss in their last game.
At least UCF can rebound with Stetson in their next game, as they’ll be looking to exercise some demons from a heartbreaking loss. As for Missouri, a tough slate follows, with Illinois, Kentucky and Arkansas coming up in their next three games — all ranked teams.
Regardless, Missouri is going to enjoy this victory ahead of a rough patch in their schedule, looking to keep the good times rolling. The Tigers are off to a blazing start, and they’re showing that they’re back on track following their demoralizing loss to the Kansas Jayhawks last week.
