Missouri center Josh Gray enters NCAA transfer portal

Missouri center Josh Gray has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. Gray has spent time at three different SEC schools.
After enrolling at LSU for the 2020-21 season, Gray then transferred to South Carolina, where he spent three seasons. He transferred to Missouri prior to the 2024-25 campaign.
Josh Gray averaged 3.2 points and 5.3 rebounds per game for the Tigers this season, proving an effective force on the glass. At 7 foot, 260 pounds, he’s a physical presence around the rim.
After having various roles at South Carolina — Gray started in 18 of 88 games — the talented big man had a more consistent role at Missouri. He started 16 of 33 games this season.
Josh Gray had some impressive performances during the season, including a double-double in a road win over ranked Mississippi State. He posted 10 points and 11 rebounds in that game.

Gray also had five other games where he recorded double-figure rebounding nights. His hustle on the glass is often infectious, too. Unfortunately for the Tigers, he’s not the only entrant into the transfer portal so far this offseason.
Missouri loses a guard to the transfer portal
In addition to Josh Gray, Missouri has also lost guard Marcus Allen to the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. That comes after just one season spent with the Tigers.
Allen appeared in 26 games off the bench this year for Mizzou. In those games, he averaged 2.6 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.
Allen, a Miami native, played high school basketball at Norland. He was the No. 74 overall recruit as a four-star prospect in the 2024 cycle. He also rated as the No. 25 SF in the class and the No. 12 player out of the state of Florida. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
