Missouri safety Caleb Flagg plans to enter NCAA Transfer Portal. He announced his decision on social media on Wednesday.

Flagg previously decided to redshirt for the remainder of the 2025 campaign. He played four of Tigers’ games this season, accumulating four tackles and two pass breakups.

“Thankful for my time at Mizzou and the staff who’ve supported me along the way,” Flagg’s post read. “Most of all, I’m grateful for my defensive brothers — the bond we built is real and will always stay with me. After much thought, I’ve decided to redshirt this season and enter the transfer portal. Excited for the next chapter ahead.”

Moreover, Flagg transferred to Missouri ahead of the 2024 campaign after spending two seasons at Houston Christian. In his debut season at Missouri, he made 11 appearances, logging 20 tackles and one forced fumble.

In his two years at Houston Christian, Flagg saw action in 21 games and made seven starts. He amassed 101 tackles, 11 passes defended, three tackles for loss, a sack, two interceptions, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

More on the Missouri Tigers

Moreover, Missouri is sitting at 5-0 on the season as they enter a bye week. They’re coming off a huge win over Mass, where they defeated the Minutemen by 36 points.

Their schedule will start to get more difficult over the next couple of weeks. After their bye, Alabama will head to Colombia for a massive ranked showdown. Then, Missouri will travel to face Auburn and Vanderbilt before returning home to face Texas A&M. There aren’t many teams with a more difficult schedule than that.

At the moment, Missouri is being led by their quarterback in Beau Pribula. The transfer signal caller has gotten the job done with his arm and his legs, amassing 12 total touchdown for the Tigers.

We’ll see how high Missouri can climb in 2025, but we’re entering a pivotal spot for the Tigers. If they can survive the middle part of their schedule, they’ll have a shot at their best season in quite some time.
