Texas A&M utility player Jamal George has reportedly committed to Missouri out of the NCAA transfer portal. That news comes courtesy of Andrew Riedell of College Baseball Central.

George spent just one season with the Aggies, following a transfer from Alabama State. He didn’t make a huge impact, appearing in 34 games for the Aggies with 17 starts.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound player batted .231 and had three doubles and four RBI on the season. He drew seven walks and scored 15 runs. He also stole two bases.

He was a much more productive player for Alabama State. In his sophomore season in 2024, Jamal George appeared in 50 games and started 47 of them. He slashed .310/.404/.523 and hit nine home runs, 10 doubles and knocked in 35 RBI.

In addition, George stole 10 bases on 10 attempts. He also scored 44 times, with some speed on the basepaths.

As a freshman at Alabama State, Jamal George started 56 of 57 games en route to earning SWAC Freshman of the Year honors. He played primarily at catcher and designated hitter.

During that time, he slashed .284/.382/.437 and hit six home runs, 12 doubles and had 34 RBI. He stole eight bases and scored 42 times.

Texas A&M lands a transfer prospect

While it’ll lose former SWAC Freshman of the Year Jamal George to the transfer portal, Texas A&M has also picked some up via the portal. FAU right-handed pitcher Michael Bollinger Jr. was an all-conference pitcher in his lone year with the program this spring and has committed to Texas A&M from the NCAA transfer portal.

Bollinger appeared in 28 games with 44.2 innings pitched this season for Florida Atlantic, posting a 2.01 ERA with 39 strikeouts as batters posted a .230 average against him. He also had 11 saves. All that earned him recognition this season on the All-AAC Second Team.

That’s after starting his collegiate career at San Jacinto JC, meaning this is a return for him to the Lone Star State. Bollinger appeared in 17 games, with 33 innings pitched, where he posted an ERA of 1.36 with 28 strikeouts for the Ravens.

On3’s Sam Gillenwater also contributed to this report.
