Denim Dawson shares what Nebraska's halftime message was vs. Ohio State

Nebraska secured an important win Wednesday night against Ohio State at home despite some major first half struggles.
The Cornhuskers shot only 30% from the field on their way to 21 points in the first half of the game. However, their defense held the Buckeyes to only 22 first-half points.
But things changed when the team came out of the locker room in the second half.
Nebraska scored 42 points after the break and shot the ball much more efficiently. The Cornhuskers finished the second half shooting 53.9% from the field and 57.1% from beyond the arc.
Redshirt freshman guard Denim Dawson explained after the final buzzer what the halftime message was that helped them beat Ohio State.
“Just keep playing hard,” said Dawson, who had seven points and eight rebounds. “Once you keep playing hard and you just keep fighting, basketball eventually rewards you. That’s what it did in the second half as we can see.”

Denim Dawson, others stepped up to beat Ohio State
Sam Griesel led the way for Nebraska with a team-high 15 points while also adding seven rebounds and three assists. Keisei Tominaga added 11 points and Derrick Walker had eight points, 10 rebounds and four assists.
Nebraska also got the victory without Juwan Gary, who will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery. Fred Hoiberg announced the news after the victory.
Demin Dawson said the team knew they had to elevate their game to knock down Ohio State.
“We knew especially with Juwan out, we had to rebound as a team,” Dawson said. “And I feel like every game won or lost, the rebounds (are) a big key factor. So the whole team, really that was the big key and we locked into that and that held us to a victory.”
