Jordon Hudson posts cryptic message, screenshot of Bill Belichick email as criticism builds

The ongoing drama surrounding the undue influence Jordon Hudson, Bill Belichick‘s 24-year-old girlfriend, has over the 73-year-old North Carolina head coach’s life continues to rage. Especially after a disastrous recent interview with CBS News‘ CBS Sunday Morning in which Hudson appeared to exert control over what was being discussed.
And, even amid a TMZ report Monday revealing growing concern about Hudson’s influence on Belichick coming from those inside the Tar Heels progam, it appears Hudson is doubling down.
On Tuesday, Hudson sent an Instagram post of a screenshot of an April 10 email sent by Belichick to what appears to be his publishing team discussing potentially negative media feedback to his upcoming memoir, “The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football.” Hudson also attached Taylor Swift’s song “Look What You Made Me Do” to her IG post, raising questions to her intentions with the post. Adding more fuel to the fire, Hudson also wrote a “full statement will be released later today” as the caption.
In the April 10 email, Belichick discusses what he perceives as the media’s “click bait” focus on his self-admitted “mistakes” — from the chapter conveniently called “Mistakes” — in which he discussed the New England Patriots‘ decision not to draft Lamar Jackson and the controversial breakup with future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady, according to The Boston Globe’s Ben Volin, who received an early copy of the book.
“This is about what I expect from the media. … I am fine with putting mistakes in the book, but I am certainly not surprised that of 260+ pages, that is what they would highlight,” Belichick wrote April 10, according to the email. “And of course, the ‘I f***ed up’ is the click bait they used for the story. We’ll see what the title of the article is, which I noticed has been conveniently left out — do we have approval on that(?). I would approve this article if we can also approve the headline, which is actually more important than the article.
“… These appearances will, no doubt, want to focus on whatever negatives they can extract from the book, and all the current events that don’t have anything to do with the book, but are most relevant to their ‘ratings’ and their agenda (which is not mine).”
Clearly, Belichick’s career-long antagonistic relationship with the media has continued at North Carolina, and as evident by her part in the CBS Sunday Morning interview, Hudson is an active participant in that animosity.
Report: Concern growing at UNC regarding Jordon Hudson influence over Bill Belichick tenure
This comes just days after TMZ exposed how Hudson reportedly stormed out of the recent CBS Sunday Morning interview promoting the book, delaying the shoot for nearly 30 minutes. Hudson also raised questions when she apruptly shut down a seemingly harmless line of questioning from CBS reporter Tony Dokoupil about how she and Belichick originally met, cutting in and saying “we’re not talking out this,” which made the final edit of the interview.

A source close to the situation told TMZ that there is a “growing sense this could become a problem” among people at North Carolina. Earlier this month, a report revealed Hudson is listed as the chief operating officer (COO) of Belichick Productions. However, she is not currently listed in any official capacity on North Carolina’s athletic department online staff directory according to the team’s website.
That probe came after Belichick requested UNC athletic department staff copy Hudson in all emails involving him. The internal emails also revealed some of Hudson’s more pressing concerns, mostly involving how Belichick is being perceived by the outside world, and that the UNC administration is doing everything it can to shield him from criticism, especially on team-controlled social media accounts.
It was reported in February that Hudson is acting as a “de facto agent” for Belichick. At the time, former ESPN reporter Pablo Torre shared, “[Hudson is] the person who you need to go through to book Bill Belichick for a Super Bowl commercial or for the other commitments he has as a multi-platform personality. She’s the gateway.”
Hudson is a former cheerleader at Bridgewater University, and TMZ reported last year that he initially met her when she was still in college and he signed one of her textbooks. Of course, her reponse in the recent interview now calls into question the exact story.
Regardless, it appears there is some worry as to exactly how much she will be involved in the coach’s professional life. Belichick is prepared to enter his first season with the Tar Heels following a 24-year tenure with the NFL’s New England Patriots, winning six Super Bowls.
