Michael Lombardi reportedly responsible for spreading reports that Jordon Hudson was banned from UNC football program

The disaster that has been the Bill Belichick experiment at North Carolina has been one of the more fascinating storylines to follow this college football season. And it keeps delivering.
Through five games, Belichick’s Tar Heels are 2-3 with losses to all three Power Four programs they’ve faced off against. Those losses, which came to TCU, UCF and Clemson, have been by an average of 29 points.
The signs that this could quickly go off the rails began to show prior to the season, as Belichick and his girlfriend Jordon Hudson made headlines weekly regarding their relationship and certain shenanigans that were occurring around the program. Back in May, Pablo Torre of ‘Pablo Torre Finds Out‘ broke the bombshell news that Hudson had reportedly been banned from North Carolina‘s facility.
“Two sources at the University of North Carolina tell me that there has been a decision, was made last week, by the higher-ups inside the athletic department that hired Bill Belichick to be the highest-paid public employee, not just coach, in the state of North Carolina, at 10 million a year,” Torre stated at the time. “That decision was that Jordon Hudson is no longer allowed in the football building. She’s not allowed on the football field. Quote, ‘Don’t think you’ll be hearing much from Jordon moving forward.’
This, however, was quickly debunked by the University. North Carolina sent out a statement that revealed that Hudson is more than welcome in its facilities.
“While Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina Football facilities,” the statement read. “Jordon will continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick’s personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University.”

Torre reveals Michael Lombardi spread news of Hudson’s ban
Amidst the reported turmoil in the program, Torre returned to the subject matter on Friday’s edition of ‘Pablo Torre Finds Out.’ He broke the news that it was actually North Carolina GM Michael Lombardi who was telling people that Hudson was banned from the facility. Oh boy.
“The ban, of course, was disputed by Carolina,” Torre said. “The school clarified that she was going to continue to manage Belichick’s personal life, she’s not involved at all in the football side and is not an employee of the University in any way. But she was very much welcome in the building. But, one thing that I do want to report publicly now, which I’ve been waiting to report, was that there was this disputed whole thing that I was blamed for.
“The person who told multiple people around the program that Jordon was no longer involved with the football program and was no longer allowed in the building was, you guessed it, North Carolina General Manager Mike Lombardi. I don’t even know if Jordon knows that.”
While the Belichick situation continues to get messier, North Carolina looks to salvage its season and earn its first win against a Power-Four opponent this weekend against Cal. However, not even a win would likely stop more of these stories from leaking out of the program over the next couple of weeks.
