Amare Campbell latest transfer portal activity at UNC
Campbell wasn’t the only activity in the NCAA transfer portal at North Carolina. Former Tennessee wide receiver Dayton Sneed committed to the Tar Heels Tuesday.
Sneed spent two seasons at Tennessee, where he amassed seven appearances. He recorded one catch last season for 12 yards. He also reeled in a single catch during his true freshman season for seven yards.
Dayton Sneed played high school football at Donelson Christian Academy (TN), where he was an unranked prospect in the 2023 recruiting cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. In his senior season, Sneed established school records for receiving yards (1,214) and touchdowns (17) in a single season.
For his efforts, Sneed was named the 2021 TSSAA Div. II-A Offensive Player of the Year and an All-State First-Team selection. With limited collegiate experience, Sneed was the No. 494 wide receiver in On3’s 2025 Transfer Portal Player Rankings.
