UNC, Bill Belichick officially announce Hulu docuseries following football program

Bill Belichick and North Carolina football are officially coming to Hulu. The first-year Tar Heels head coach announced the Disney streaming service will be airing a documentary-style series chronicling Belichick’s first season in Chapel Hill during a team meeting Sunday.
“I know that you guys have heard that there was a lot of interest in doing a lets call it a season-long documentary or season-long show about North Carolina football. And so I’m excited to share with you that we will be doing that with EverWonder and Hulu that will showcase our football program,” Belichick announced Sunday. “This is about the UNC football program, there’s obviously a lot of interest in it, and it will stream on Hulu later this Fall. It’s going to feature the players working hard, which you guys do, alright. It’s about the players improving and getting better through hard work, which you do, and a program starting from where it started from several months ago to wherever it’s going to go during the course of the season, which of course we determine on the field. Alright? It’ll show our commitment to winning, our commitment to the team, and that’s our priority.”

Front Office Sports reports Hulu cameras have already begun filming team practices prior to Sunday’s formal announcement. This Hulu docuseries comes months after a previously planned collaboration with HBO’s Hard Knocks fell apart at the last hour, which was at least partially attributed to demands made by Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson, according to The Athletic.
The name of the series has yet to be revealed, although some trademarks registered by Hudson could give us a big hint. Trouble Cub Enterprises, which Hudson is the CEO of, recently registered trademarks for several Taylor Swift-themed show titles, including “Chapel Bill (Bill’s Version),” “Do Your Job (Bill’s Version),” “The Dynasty (Bill’s Version),” “No Days Off (Bills’ Version)” and “Ignore the Noise (Bill’s Version).”
No clear answer whether Jordon Hudson will have role in new Hulu docuseries
Belichick addressed the reason why the program decided not to be featured in Hard Knocks during an appearance on the Pivot Podcast with Ryan Clark. With various rumors and speculation surrounding the situation, the Tar Heels coach’s answer was fairly straightforward.

“Hard Knocks is training camp, and we’re not training camp. We’re just not,” Belichick said. “That’s not what we are. The drama of training camp, who’s a cut and all that. Like, we’re a season, and they don’t want that. Yeah, there are film issues too, but forget about the film issues. Just say you could straighten all those out, Hard Knocks just didn’t fit for us.”
Over the last few months, Hudson has adopted a greater role in and around Belichick, effectively serving as the six-time Super Bowl champion coach’s personal PR representative. A recent report in The Athletic revealed Hudson’s email signature identified her as the chief operating officer (COO) of Belichick Productions, though no applicable business is registered under that name.
Hudson’s involvement in Belichick’s public life became a national talking point in the wake of a disastrous recent interview with CBS Sunday Morning in which Hudson exerted undue influence. The interview, which was intended to promote Belichick’s upcoming memoir, “The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football,” reportedly went off the rails when Hudson allegedly stormed off the set, delaying shooting for 30 minutes, according to a report from TMZ.
Over the subsequent weeks and months, multiple additional stories emerged that shed light on Hudson’s growing influence on Belichick. That has included Hudson allegedly forcing her way onto the set of Dunkin’ Donuts’ Super Bowl commercial that also starred Belichick and famous actors Ben and Casey Affleck.
