Notre Dame senior Jacob Lacey announces his intent to redshirt, transfer
Notre Dame defensive lineman Jacob Lacey is no longer with the program. The senior will be leaving the team and entering the transfer portal. He announced the decision on Twitter.
The timing of Jacob Lacey’s decision is critical in this instance. He has played in four games to this point in the season. By leaving now, he would be able to preserve the year of eligibility moving forward. Mix that with the pandemic season and Lacey will transfer to a school with two seasons of eligibility remaining and plenty of experience.
