WATCH: Ohio State 4-star WR commit Carnell Tate reels in two touchdowns

Chicago (Ill.) IMG Academy four-star wide receiver Carnell Tate is one of the top wideouts in the 2023 class. The Ohio State commit demonstrated why on Friday night against Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy by catching two touchdowns in IMG’s 27-16 win.

His second score came off a great throw from IMG’s quarterback. After bringing the pass, Tate sprinted across open field for a touchdown.

His first touchdown was a great play as well. As he ran a downfield route, Tate turned to his right and accelerated. Outrunning two defenders, he reeled in a 32-yard touchdown catch.

The 6-foot-2, 178 pound wideout is the No. 42 overall prospect and No. 7 wide receiver in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 10 player in Florida.

Tate, Miami Gardens (Fla.) American Heritage five-star wide receiver Brandon Inniss and Rolesville (N.C.) four-star wide receiver Noah Rogers all are committed to the Buckeyes and rank in the top 10 at their position, according the On3 Consensus. Additionally, they are the three of the four-highest-rated prospects in Ohio State’s 2023 recruiting class, which ranks No. 4 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 1 in the Big Ten.
