Report: Oklahoma State linebacker Wendell Gregory arrested after allegedly stealing from Walmart

Oklahoma State linebacker Wendell Gregory was arrested and charged with “larceny of merchandise from a retailer,” according to local TV station News 9. Gregory allegedly stole a total of $211 in merchandise from a Stillwater Walmart.
The alleged thefts occurred over the span of a week in May. Gregory made his season debut with the Cowboys on Thursday after transferring from South Carolina, finishing with a team-high three sacks in a 27-7 win against UT-Martin.
Gregory played just one season for the Gamecocks in 2024. He appeared in two games and finished with one tackle. He ranked as the No. 154 overall player and No. 20 edge rusher in the transfer portal this offseason according to On3.
As a recruit, Gregory was a four-star prospect out of Walton High School in Marietta, Georgia. He ranked as the No. 200 overall player and No. 26 edge rusher in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 | Rivals Industry Ranking, an equally weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting services.
As of this writing, Oklahoma State has not released any comment on the arrest of Wendell Gregory. The Cowboys next face No. 7 Oregon at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, and Gregory’s status will be one to watch before kickoff.

Hauss Hejny injury update: Latest on Oklahoma State QB
Oklahoma State quarterback Hauss Hejny is expected to be out several weeks as he recovers from a left foot injury, sources tell On3’s Brett McMurphy and Pete Nakos. The TCU transfer is expected to miss at least five weeks and undergo surgery. A date for a return remains unclear.
Hejny exited in the first half of Oklahoma State’s season opener against UT Martin. A former four-star recruit in the 2024 cycle, he played in four games a year ago before taking a redshirt. Oklahoma State opens Big 12 play on Sept. 27 against Baylor and visits Oregon in Week 2.
Hejny was 5 of 10 for 96 yards and a touchdown in three drives Thursday night before his exit, rushing for 27 yards on four carries with a touchdown, too. Zane Flores came in for Hejny, leading Oklahoma State to a 27-7 win and throwing for 136 yards with a 65% completion percentage.
“I won’t give injury updates either way,” Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy said after the win. “I never will know on those until the next day, anyway, but both of those guys weren’t in a position to come back. But I’ll know more on it later.”
