Lane Kiffin has quite the social media presence. So does his dog, Juice.

Following Ole Miss‘ 24-19 win over LSU, Juice Kiffin’s X account posted a photo of a hat that read ‘Brian Kelly can’t run the damn ball,’ with the caption: “New hat just dropped!” This was in response to Kelly’s outburst toward a reporter who claimed that the Tigers couldn’t run the ball. Ole Miss held LSU to just 57 yards rushing and 2.6 yards per carry in the win.

It turns out that the Rebels head coach wasn’t too pleased with his pup after hitting send. Joining the crew on Pardon My Take, Kiffin addressed Juice and the viral tweet on Wednesday.

“He’s young. He’s only like, three, so you can’t really mature until you just mature. And he’s not there yet,” Kiffin said. “And in his defense, think about it. This dog’s ego is so out of control. Think about it — he does the (pregame) champions walk. 30,000 fans yelling his name ‘Juice, Juice.’ So I worry about our players and their egos.”

Juice has become a fan favorite in Oxford since being introduced to the fanbase as a puppy three years ago. To Kiffin, all it’s done is put air in his head.

“That’s all he knows,” Kiffin continued. “He gets to take pictures with a bunch of fans before the game and stuff. He gets the tea, sometimes. So, he really hasn’t had really many humbling things in life yet. I kind of ground him, so that’s why he does those things. Right after the game I mean come on, yeah that had to make you so mad when you.”

Jokes aside, the victory improved Ole Miss to 5-0 on the young season and are currently the only 3-0 team in the SEC. The Rebels will return to non-conference play against Washington State this weekend before hitting the road during Week 7 to face Georgia on the road. Ole Miss will stay one the road after that, traveling to Oklahoma to take on the Sooners in Norman.

DII transfer QB Trinidad Chambliss has lit the SEC on fire since becoming the Ole Miss starter, and his Rebels are currently ranked No. 4 in the latest AP Top 25 poll. Momentum has been on Ole Miss’ side this season, and Juice Kiffin has been front and center for it all.

That will continue this weekend against the Cougars. Kickoff is slated for 12:45 p.m. ET live on the SEC Network.
