Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral‘s decision to play in the Sugar Bowl instead of opting out was one that sparked a lot of conversations around football. The risk of playing is that an injury could occur, hindering a player’s stock in the NFL Draft. For Corral, that became a reality on Saturday night when he suffered an ankle injury.

Corral was rolled up on, and he limped off the field with help before being carted to the Ole Miss locker room. He later returned to the sidelines on crutches, but his time playing for Ole Miss was over. As one of the top quarterbacks in this year’s NFL Draft, it was a scary moment for Corral.

It was reported earlier on Sunday that Corral received negative X-rays on his ankle injury. Additionally, ESPN’s Chris Low reports that Corral has suffered a sprained ankle, which is not expected to hinder his draft stock.

“Preliminary news on @corral_matt’s injury is promising,” Low tweeted. “Family members tell ESPN that X-rays were normal and that it’s a sprained ankle. MRI will determine severity of sprain, but several in NFL circles say they don’t see injury affecting Corral’s draft status.”
