Both Ole Miss and Arkansas finished with top-25 rankings in the final AP Poll of the season. Ole Miss finished the year with a 10-3 record, just ahead of the Razorbacks’ 9-4 finish.
Over the 2021 season, Arkansas ranked fifth in the SEC in passing yards allowed, forcing 13 interceptions on the year. Ole Miss finished third-worst in the conference in passing yards allowed, and the addition of Carter to the defensive coaching staff is hopeful to turn their ranking around.
