Seattle Rainer Beach four-star cornerback Caleb Presley made a trip to Eugene, Oregon, over the weekend to watch Oregon beat Arizona.

Presley is the No. 74 prospect in the 2023 class, ninth-best cornerback and second-best player in the state of Washington.

He said on Twitter that he had a blast at Oregon, which is his second time on campus in the last few months.

Caleb Presley told WeAreSC’s Scott Schrader earlier this month what makes Oregon an attractive destination for him.

“It’s close to home, it’s the Pacific Northwest, it’s a lot like home and (cornerbacks coach Rod) Chance is a great coach down there,” Presley said.

Caleb Presley’s gaining traction as a top 2023 CB

Caleb Presley has 26 offers from schools all across the country, from UCLA to Penn State to LSU.

But it appears a group of West Coast and Midwest powers have separated themselves from the pack.

Last weekend, Presley was in his hometown of Seattle to watch Washington take on Arkansas State.

Caleb Presley told Schrader that he has a great relationship with USC‘s interim coach Donte Williams, who was the cornerbacks coach before being promoted following Clay Helton‘s firing.

He also said he is looking forward to visiting Notre Dame and Michigan.

Presley has additional offers from Alabama, Oklahoma, Oregon State, Texas, Texas A&M and Washington State.

Oregon’s success on the recruiting trail

Oregon has been on a tear recruiting defensive backs recently.

They have eight 2022 On300 recruits, and three of them are future members of the Ducks secondary.

Leading the group are San Diego Lincoln teammates Jalil Tucker and Jahlil Florence. Tucker is ranked at No. 51 and Florence is No. 158. Portland Jefferson safety Trejon Williams, the No. 263 overall recruit, also highlights the secondary pledges.

In the class of 2021, the Ducks landed four-stars S Daymon David (No. 138), Jeffrey Bassa (No. 176) CB Avante Dickerson (No. 271).

Signing Caleb Presley in the future would just continue the success of Mario Cristobal, cornerbacks coach Rod Chance and the entire staff recruiting the secondary.
