Bo Nix likes him some Chick-fil-A, but really, who doesn’t? The Oregon football quarterback might’ve eaten more chicken over the offseason to improve upon his best collegiate year yet.

But it certainly wasn’t at the local Chick-fil-A. In fact, the fast food chain isn’t around the campus at Oregon, but there could be one coming.

Nix is in a wait and see approach though. But if the restaurant comes through, you know where to find the players postgame.

“I have heard a few different times,” Nix said. “You know, I’ll believe it when I see it. But you know, that’s exciting for the city. I think Chick-fil-A is a good spot. It deserves to be in a place like Oregon. And then I think the players would love it. I think it’d be a great recruiting tool too. So yeah, I’m happy. I may not be here to enjoy it. But the sooner the better.”

Will eating Chick-fil-A give Oregon and Nix the boost they need to win the Pac-12 during the school’s final year in the conference? Who knows?

Either way, Oregon is one of the favorites in this last iteration of the Pac-12 before moving to the Big Ten with foes Washington, USC and UCLA.

Chick-fil-A the secret sauce to Oregon, Bo Nix winning it all?

Nix could’ve gone to the NFL Draft back in the spring, but he chose to run it back with his team one last time.

This year, Nix and the Ducks are driven to compete for the Pac-12 title and earn a spot in the national championship. And he outlined the challenges Oregon will face in 2023 on the road to achieving their goal.

“Well, you know, we play in a very tough conference. We play a lot of good football teams,” Nix said. “It’s not gonna be easy. The road is going to be filled with many challenges, many great teams, but at the end of the day, we feel like, you know, we can be that team to beat as well and we’re going to be confident going into the season.

“We just got to do what we do best. We have to be a really disciplined football team, play collectively as a group, continue to grow each and every week, build connection on our team and we know we have a chance to get there along with, obviously, great competition.”
