Emmanuel Pregnon injury update: Dan Lanning reveals latest on Oregon OL

Oregon OL Emmanuel Pregnon exited their opener for a time with an injury. However, Dan Lanning isn’t concerned about the status of one of the Ducks’ better offensive linemen coming out of game one and going into game two.
During his press conference on Monday, Lanning quickly provided an update on Pregnon, who left the game in the 59-13 win over Montana State on Saturday. He said he expects him to be able to play in their second game this weekend, especially after seeing how Pregnon got around at their practice yesterday.
“Yeah, I feel confident he’s going to be able to go,” said Lanning. “He was able to move around a little bit today.”
Pregnon actually would have been able to return to their opener this weekend. Still, in a 46-point victory, the Ducks didn’t feel the need to put him back out there.
“Part of it was where the game was at and, you know, us also being able to evaluate and make sure he’s in a great position,” Lanning added.
This game was Pregnon’s debut as a Duck. That’s after transferring in this offseason, as a Top-30 player and the No. 2 IOL from the portal per On3’s 2025 Top Transfer Portal Players, following two seasons at USC after starting his collegiate career at Wyoming. His addition, alongside their other pickups of Isaiah World and Alex Harkey and the returns of veterans in Iapani Laloulu and Matthew Bedford, is all expected to make this offensive line one of the better ones in the sport this season.
Oregon will be playing a power-conference game in the non-conference this weekend at home against Oklahoma State, with the ‘Pokes making the trip to Eugene for a Big 12-Big Ten matchup. In that game come Saturday, Lanning is anticipating that Pregnon, the sixth-year senior, will be good to go by then to take his place on their line.

“I feel good that he’ll be back,” said Lanning.

Oregon is fresh off a Big Ten Championship to get them to a 13-0 record prior to the College Football Playoff last year, where they lost to the eventual champion in Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. The Ducks have since opened this new season with a 59-13 win over Montana State.
On the opposite sideline, Oklahoma State is in a different situation, coming off a 3-9 mark for one of their worst records in program history. Now, after losing nine straight in going winless in conference play, the ‘Pokes got their first victory in almost a year with a 27-7 outcome over UT Martin.
